Looking for a plumber in Bedford then look no further. Plumbers within Bedford can be found by clicking the link below: Tips on choosing a plumber in Bedford When people have a plumbing problem, they usually aren't very picky about what plumber they choose to complete the job. This can lead to being overcharged, inconvenienced for longer than necessary, and the potential of not having the plumbing problem fixed correctly. Often, this is a result of consumers not investing time in choosing an appropriate plumber. To avoid being in this situation, there are some things you should consider. Find out how long they have been in business and whether they have premises you can visit (an established plumber is less likely to disappear half way through a job). · Ask them for references and find out whether you can view any similar work they may have done. · Find out whether they have insurance to cover your property (and that of your neighbours). · Ask whether their work is guaranteed, and if so, whether the guarantee is insurance-backed - meaning that if they go out of business the work is still covered. Looking for ratings and reviews on business directory sites such as Streets local Always have a written contract detailing payment terms and in what stages Thursday, April 23

Well the first in our series Directory Idol-The rivals looks at Touch Local. Touch local was established in 2004 attracts over 4 million unique users a month looking for products and services and carries a business database of 2.4 million business owners. But how effective is Touch Local? We have recently conducted research into all of the business directorys and this will be published at the end of this 5 day series. When compiling our research we actually performed a simple google search on eah company as well and we found some of the following remarks about Touch Local.
So with feedback like this what do you do?
Our viewpoint is that Touch Local is not a complete waste of money nor is it a scam of any kind. Touch Local can offer a business a good return but the general rule of thumb would be to search google for your business type and your business area for example Plumber in Birmingham Does Touch Local show in that search? If so then touch local can offer your business something if not then ask yourself what you would gain. I have recently wrote about the improvements to the yell.com listings and stated how impressed i was that yell was now in fact sitting up and admitting that there product was not upto scratch. The question has been open for years have yell been living on past glories? So now are they trying to play catch up? Have they done enough to actually bring people back to yell in a very important time for yell? The general view across the internet is that yell have not done enough with there new layout: Take a peep at just some reviews i found: http://www.ukbusinessforums.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?p=847238#post847238
I would say that yell are still behind many business directorys in every sense. Is it about time yell play catch up and actually allow users to rate and review a business? Why will yell not allow a ratings system? Maybe its because that would damage there income stream but surely the users benefit from real reviews and in turn make the yell brand a more trusted one. Come on yell dont hide.... We at Streets Local are at the forefront and we are coming after all the business directorys who take there customers for granted. Monday, April 13
